Mkay, I should have said this earlier but I've been so busy...

I set up this blog, intending to work on it but was suddenly interrupted by life. I enrolled in truck driving school and have been hard at work for the last several weeks. I expect to finish this week and go off to work. I will be working for a company and they will be teaching me about how their procedures work. I'll need to take this very seriously and will need to focus on my new job. This should cost me another three weeks or so. After that, I may have some free time in the truck while on the road, and that's when I'll begin working on this blog.

This will be mostly for my own good. The Top Gear recommendations, I take seriously. I know the show was meant mostly as entertainment but their commentary from inside the cars means something. I would like to have a list of everything they say about the cars, and have the names of the cars indexed so that I can hop in and play the video and watch.

So, every show will have several pages. There will be a main index on which you see a long list of the programmes in order. Then you can go a little deeper and find a similar list but beyond the date and episode number there will be a list of the segments. "Celebrity guest: Michael Gambon" and below that, "Car reviewed: Ariel Atom" and below that, "Car reviewed (2): Porsche 911", "Today's theme: Playing clonkers with caravans" and so forth.

Oh, and I especially intend to include the entire text of the reviews. "We-e-ell, it's an Aston Martin Vantage with a V-12 engine. So what do you think it's going to be like? . . . It is ... fantastic. It's wonderful. Wonderful."

See?

Go a little deeper and you will find I've gone into some detail. There is a lot of background music in Top Gear, for instance, and often we want to know what it was. If you know and I don't, send me an email and I'll put the name in, and credit you or your nickname if you prefer. We may also identify the places where they're filming, perhaps pinpoint the locations on a map. And so on.
